Possibly more general discussion than issue, but I figured console owners wouldn't get it.

I use it to pause conversations.
Before I used ESC to do this, but they fixed it so you can't anymore, so yes...console it is.

Not sure if opening the console does the same, but hitting ESC to bring up the main menu stops the renderer, so your GPU isn't consuming all those watts while you're off doing whatever. The same isn't true of the TAB menu, which I never use for pausing the game.
