Is it possible to use a PC to rebuild my 360 character?

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 11:11 pm

So I was 430+ hrs in on my Thief build on the 360 when the game began freezing every time in specific locations on the map... along with other minor goofy bugs...

But Freezing nah... I cant have that...

So I was all heart broke-quit playin for a couple of days-hiked up my pansts-started over...

Now I got the muddy textures... I'm about 130 hrs in... but the textures are goofy on some objects... kinda pulls me outta the experiance

Anyways my question is if I re-re-make my character put the save onna thumb drive and mail it to my sister, can she re up my skills via console commands?

If so whats the recomended process?

I really dont think I got it in me to grind my skills for a third time.... but I gotta feeling somthings gonna [censored] up sooner or later.

If you're playing on PC then yes, you could recreate your X360 character on the PC (ie start a new game, set the level, skills, even quest states and items etc. via console command).

You wouldn't be able to transfer that back to the X360 though.

If I recall correctly, transfering saves between PS3 and PC has been already done. I suppose the same could be apply to 360.

Interesting.... then again I don't see why not, [censored] my ps3 has Linux =p My question would be whether or not you can pseudo mod using that or if it would freak out, like say you added a khajiit tail to a Bosmer once the cc comes out, it would be all vanilla files.. but I bet the console wouldn't read it.

meh, I'll enjoy my pc!

Everything has to stay vanilla for it to work

What isn't vanilla about putting a khajiit tail on a Bosmer, technically you would just be telling the game that for the vanilla Bosmer, use vanilla khajiit bottom model.

Like I said, doubt it would work practically, but technically as long as its on the disc it can be done. Theoretically, if Bethesda uses the cc to a degree, then sends those changes out to the 360, it's the same concept.

The game will simply disable the changes. This is not theory. It's what happens when you use a saved game made with mods you didn't have installed (I had been doing this a lot latelly). So, no. You can't pseudomod this way. What you could do is add money or equipment to your character. Let's say that you can include things another player could believe you could have aquired in a legitimante way.

In theory you can, in practice you can't. The files are in the disc, saying they can't be manipulated is daft at best, the tricky part is getting the Xbox to read them. Since when has something not being easy or practical excluded it from possibility?
