The house you get in Windhelm where you solve Blood on the Ice? yeah well after everything is said and done im left with an awesome house with an awesome secret room...littered and blocked up with this mess. the guide says this should have been cleaned up wether i bought the house or not. well i bought it and its still there and theres no option for cleaning it up from the steward...anyone know what can be done? it makes an otherwise awesome room rather trashy

I am not sure but read that you have to pay someone to do that (clean it for you)?

I got that option from the same guy u decorate the house with...

yeah i saw that in the guide as well but it doesnt say who but i assume its the steward you buy all your other stuff from and he wont tell me anything either

strange..it was the steward that cleaned up mine...have u tried loading a save from before u bought it and do it again? if u have one that is..

You should be able to purchase a package from the Steward to clean it up for you, according to the guide at least.

I have ran into the same issue. I assume it is just a glitch unless it becomes available after you become thane (highly doubt it, but I still have a few favors to do and see).

ive checked with the steward a hundred times. never tells me anything other than "youve already bought everything from your house" and nothing changed after i became thane...svcks donkey balls...

I also checked before I bought ANY decorations....there was no clean up option. And I solved the murder...

If you buy the living room upgrade before the clean up the option disappears.
