Patch 1.4 Compiler Optimization

So, compiler optimization is in the changelog... do you think this is going to be a large-scale version of Arisu's Acceleration Layer? I'm pretty excited about it.

Won't know until it is released.

I haven't read their log, but compiler optimization sounds like mockery, it's just few mouse clicks. Don't be naive, because your hope is doomed, they can't do anything (or they are fooling us to sale more game copies by patching?).

I doubt we will see any fps improvement and if its anything like the LAA patch we can expect to be dissapointed.

If its what Skyboost and TESVAL were doing, but better because it's built into the exe, then yes we will see bigger improvements than those mods can achieve, fact.

If its not, then who knows.

I think it is. Because that's what Arisu the modder of TESVAL said. Arisu only optimized a tiny percent of the engine code. To do everything would require an optimization compiler (those exact words).
Arisu suggested that such a compiler could give over a 100% better performance.
I started a thread asking for Bethesda to do this, and it got over 35,000 views. I think Bethesda got the point after a topic got so much attention.

But sure, we won't know for sure until it's released.
