Is Brynjolf's in Riften dialog the same with all players, i.e. "I can see right through you," that you (player) couldn't have gotten all their gold honestly? Even if the player has never stole anything? I'm a thief so it's just what someone would say.

You do know the info he gave you, you already got it from Delphine (look in the Ratways) and you could get it also from other NPC around like the local inn keeper?

Heck. Didn't realize that. I used up an invisibility potion (to be able to lockpick the chest) and then another potion that raised my pickpocketing just to be able to barely make that darn quest for Brynjolf. Stupid me.
