The problem occurs when you have your options set to MAX and ULTRA on everything in the video settings. When you get stuck because of a non loading save game, use the task manager to kill the game, open the Skyrims options and click on the lowest settings button. Then try and load your game again. It has worked for me every single time this save game problem comes up for me.
Once you get your save to load, fast travel to some town or location and save again. Then you can exit, put your graphics options back to the max and the save should load fine. Once in a while I found that the new save would not load once I reset to max again so I just repeat the procedure and eventually get it working again with max settings..
BTW, I am on a FX-6800 Intel I7 8-core system with 9GB ram, Nvidia GTX 560 ti video and Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatality Pro sound. And yes all my drivers are current and updated including directX and .Net drivers.. I know because I have been trouble shooting a game for another company and I am a coder myself so I have to keep things up to spec.
