How to check if Steam has updated the game?

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 10:31 pm

Or to manually force it to do so?

Just reintalled Skyrim, then installed Nexus Mod Manager, BOSS, Skyboost, SKSE, Dragon Scripts, and a few basic mods. Cannot run the game or SKSE from NMM b/c it gives me the message that my game version is NOT supported, then lists supported patches: versions of 1.1.21.0

Ingame, pause and look on the bottom left corner.

Generally speaking if you just re-installed skyrim it will be the latest version.
SKSE can be quiet fickle about it's version compability so check and see with what TGL suggests and see what version of SKSE you have.

Here's an idiotic question ... How do we check the version of the game that's currently running on pc. I saw the instructions somewhere a few weeks back, but cannot find the thread now and search is getting me nowhere. I'm thinking I checked it in the Steam interface, but have searched everywhere i can think of. It's probably right in my face, since this is typically how things tend to go for me ....

Thanks in advance for any instruction!

Go to the System Menu screen, ESC by default. Lower left corner.

In-game, of course.
