I don't know if there's a spot for easter egg type stuff, but I played through the Thieve's Guild quests recently and it occured to me that when you come into the room where you fight Mercer Frey he's pulling the eyes out of a huge statue, much like the cover art of the original Dungeons and Dragons book. Not sure if that's an easter egg or just a coincidence, but I thought it was pretty cool.

I wouldn't be surprised. Most western RPGs have references to or at least influences from D&D or LOTR.

Man, I haven't seen that book in ages. I thought there was something familiar about that scene with Frey, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Even if it is only a coincidence, it's a cool one.
