Hey guys. So I've worked through a few dozen bugs in the game until I got to this part and there is NOTHING at all on the internet which can help me. I've specfially signed up on the forums for this!

I finished the main quest, killed Alduin and teleported back to the Throat of the World. Once here, I have read that Odahviing is meant to speak to you and pledge his alliegance.

My problem is that he does nothing, I run up the small hill to him and it says "E to talk with Odahviing" but when I press it, nothing happens. I have run round the land and tried the shout to call him a hundred times and nothing happens. Every now and then he will fly towards where I am then hover and fly back to the mountain but even when I was chased by 4 mammoths and 2 giants in combat mode, he didn't land and attack.

It appears the shout isnt 100% functional as Odahviing hasn't talked to me to finish the main quest.

I've tried the enable/disable console commands, ive tried restarting the quest from sovngarde, i've tried "relearning" the shouts using console, i've tried attacking Odahviing till he is in Mercy mode. No luck. Nothing works. I've also tried the setstage/resetquest commands. Nothing happens.

Anyone know of a fix or patch or anything?

Did you use Dragonrend on him more than once (only time should have been at Dragonreach)? I think that will cause him to not be allied with you after the main quest.

Your not missing much. You can't ride him or direct his attacks. Storm call is 1000% better.

Nope only used it at Dragonreach. Its like he's bugged and just sat there.


Nah but it would be awesome to use him in battles, its bugging the hell out of me. Its such an anti-climix to the whole game I did the whole main quest specifically so I could get the dragon call shout. Ugh

Have you tried giving yourself the shout by console and stepping through the quest stages by console?

I have tried giving myself each letter of the shout. I didn't try stepping through each stage, I read on the wiki that you can't go backwards to parts you've already finished? I just did setquest MQ301 or whatever it was, so that its set to the end of the quest.

Anyone else experienced this? I'm not going to just forget about it. I played for so many hours and its a huge buzz kill to have this happen!
