Xfire + Dual Radeon HD 4800

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 7:16 am

I know it's a long shot but has anyone had any success getting Crossfire to work with dual Radeon HD 4800 cards? I'm having no joy at all and with my FPS varying from ~10 up to ~55 (with the 12.1 ATI drivers - I'm going to try the 12.2 preview later as I've heard good things) I'd like to get Crossfire working if it's at all possible...

Any thoughts / experiences / suggestions gratefully received...

Wait for patch 1.4, a lot of the FPS drops are actually caused by performance issues within the game itself (improper utilization of the CPU) 1.4 should solve that.

If you don't want to wait, check out skyboost over in the mods section of the forum, it helps a lot. (got me from 16FPS in Markarth to 40)

To be honest, it's as much about seeing one of my two cards completely idle as it is about fixing the FPS. Knowing that I've got FPS drops when I have a second card doing nothing is very frustrating.

Also, I'm already using Skyboost ; that said thanks for the suggestion anyway: Skyboost is a very helpful utility and if I didn't already have it I'd certainly be grateful for the heads up.
