What driver version from Nvidia is working well for you guys?

I have the latest beta meant to improve Skyrim performance and the game runs fine, but now my GPU runs at full clocks even just browsing the internet or sitting idle

I'm looking for an older driver that will not gimp Skyrim and still run my GPU clocks correctly. Anyone playing on the 275 series of drivers? I here they do not have this issue, but do not know how they work with Skyrim.

Make sure you have set "Power Management Mode" in your nVidia control panel to "Adaptive" instead of "Prefer maximum performance".

Yeah I did that, I also got rid of the crappy Power4gear asus had on my laptop that kept messing with my cpu clocks and leaving them bound. I'm doing well on the game side of things, just idle and internet time that's getting on my nerves. Something about knowing it's not operating the way it should that drives me bonkers. I was on much older drivers before (18x series) and gpu worked correctly. When I went to buy the game I upgraded the drivers figuring it would be needed
