Thank you Beth for a sweet patch!

I just updated and the game runs nice and smooth. My 150+ hour save shrank 1 MB and the CTD when I tried to exit Jorrvaskr is no longer there. I would also like to thank all the gamers who tested the beta.

Despite having a little trouble with the beta personally, the overall performance boost is incredible compared to 1.3, and I am glad Bethesda decided to roll out this important mod immediately, no one should do without for another day.

Performance boost comes with a price. At least, for me. Game CTDing again like crazy. I thought patch 1.3.10 ended up CTDs once and for all, cure found, etc. I was wrong.

Backup your ini and then remove it, try a new one. You know? It's easy to test.

During the "beta" i could not get my 19 hour stable game to play for an hour. I tried so many things, with and without SKSE...bla bla..in the end it turned out i could no longer use MSI afterburner while running skyrim. When MSI was running I got a screen freeze even on first load. Turn off as many things in the background as you can. I used MSI since day one..never a crash. But during the beta...crash after crash....remove MSI..Stable.

I just reinstall Beth games every time a patch comes out seems like overkill but I have yet to have an issue arise from a new patch with this process. Also at least during the Beta the game wouldn't CTD it would stop responding which was different...is it still just dropping to desktop for you with no warning?

I have no issue running MSI Afterburner Beta patch or otherwise. What is causing that issue is the OSD powered by Riva Tuner that comes with MSI AB. Try turning it off imo and you can most likely keep the program without issue.

You might try grabbing an update. I only downloaded MSI Afterburner this morning. So far, I'm not having any issue with MSI or the OSD, just for your guys information. Only played for about an hour so far though.

Are you talking about skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini? I'll give it a shot.

Freezes too. I said CTDs, but it is not fully correct, you're right. Of five times game stopped working three were crashes to desktop, and two were freeze-stops, I had to kill the process manually in Task Manager.

Ok so you still have CTD's no error with 1.4? Hrm I had none running the beta have 3 freezes had to kill the process.

In my case the OSD was working and all but I would randomly CTD. Played around with this and that and found that turning the OSD off has led to zero CTDs since 1.3 release nor the 1.4 Beta (have yet to play the official patch yet today). So while it works it eventually was doing something to kill Skyrim to desktop. I will try a reinstall would hate to remove it since my card just sits at 25% spd until well it kills itself without the fan profiler. I would have to manually turn the fan up before gaming in CCC and that would be crappy to say the least.
