Can this mess up the game?

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 1:02 am

I have an interesting question here. I have one character that I've had for a while. Unlike my other characters he hasn't yet spoken to the Jarl of Whiterun.

Instead he chose to explore and do little things for people. Along the way he's picked up a ton of shouts....a ton.

What I'm curious about is this. If I choose to take the main quest now, will it be bugged due to knowing so many shouts?

Just curious.

It shouldn't be a problem, though i saw someone who already had one of the shouts he had to get as part of the main quest and it wouldn't update can't remember where i read that or if it's accurate though.

No the main quest should continue fine regardless of your shouts.

Thanks for the kind replies.

Interestingly enough if you don't visit the Jarl of Whiterun the game is dragon-free. it's almost a bit refreshing.

At least it's not like Fallout 3... I came out the vault. Didn't go megaton, instead wandered north-west a bit, found an old garage with some mole rats in, found a hidden stairwell, went downstairs and found another vault. Went inside and... oh hi there dad!

Just skipped about HALF the game...

If you go exploring early and find a lot of World Walls, you will know a lot of shouts, you just can't use them until you defeat an equivalent amount of dragons.

Won't cause any issues at all, don't worry, only ones you'll need to know for the MQ you get from the Greybeards.

Didn't you have to wander through fatal radiation in order to pull that off? :P
