Anti-aliasing seems broken

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 4:03 pm

I just applied patch 1.4 and anti-aliasing doesn't appear to be being applied, whether I apply it in Skyrim's settings or the Nvidia Control Panel. Did this come up during the beta and, if so, did anyone find a work-around?

It has worked fine with me.

AA works in Nvidia Control Panel and in the Launcher.

However, I disable AA in the Launcher because I get a greater fps drop using that AA than using 4x Supersampling in Nvidia Control Panel.

Hi Tiransta. Two things for you to try:

1. Reset all your graphics card settings to default and run the game (I use Radeon so in CCC just press default, not sure about Nvid but its going to be simple).
2. If still no joy, reinstall the game.

I have had this issue personally in the past, but like I say I'm not on Nvid so it might be different cause. Anyway, I ended up reinstalling the game, only after that did someone tell me just reset CCC to default.

Obviously once it fixed you can go back to using your settings again, don't need to keep them at default.

Edit: Also, I read somewhere if you want to force through your driver, you have to set the in-game to the same as your driver. So if forcing x4 you have to have x4 in your ini. I don't know if this true or not, but it came up in the 1.4 beta, again related to Radeon, but maybe Nvid is the same.

Good Luck!
