The new 1.4 version was applied when i started the game tonight, and there are Big Bugs... people are saying they are giving me things and nothing is being added to my inventory, options for dialogues are not appearing, and i cannot get my companion/follower to do anything i ask... they just keep repeating themselves.

Anyone else experiencing this??? how do i get back to version 1.3, which was perfect??

With much frustration... looking for help.

Have you tried verifying your files and waiting 30 in-game days?

Nope... help me out... how do i "verify my files"... .i'll do whatever it takes; then, what's with the waiting 30 in-game days? i'll do it, but can you lay out the first step for me (verifying files)... thanks!!

Right click on Skyrim in Steam, properties, one of the tabs has Verify in it. Click that. 30 in-game days is the reset period. Oblivion's was 3, for instance.

Are you running any mods? If so, disable them.

Hey, deaths_souls.... i think it worked!! but, it was a "validating" tab that i clicked on, under Skyrim properties in Steam, then Waited for 30 in-game days, re-loaded my last save, and voila.... seems like it's working well. Whew!!

And, just for others who might have the same trouble... nope, i was NOT running any mods, and i had previously tried to go to an earlier saved game, which didn't work. but, doing what death_souls suggested did! Yay!

hey, all... given the ongoing problems with 1.4, i thought i would bring this post forward for those who haven't read it, simply b/c death_souls' suggestion worked perfectly (so far) for me (my problem after Patching was that everyone i tried interacting with only said "I want to give you this, a token of my appreciation" and i had no other options available), so i'm happy to share the success; give it a try, and perhaps it'll sort out at least some of the problems out there.

Just to let you know, the first 73 game hours are the weirdest post patch. I would go to an interior cell, or not, it does not really matter, and wait 73 hours. Other cells reset at 10 or 31 game days. But that has to do more with re-spawns than scripts.
