Right so its may 17th & i just signed up & its ma burfday & im 23. yes. oh wow old... loser blah. anywho ... if bethesda cares to read what i have to say... that would rock but i will settle for agreement from other fallout fans. basically heres what id like to see from fallout in the future... whether its already being done in new vegas or if they could release it as some sorta update / dlc bundle for fallout 3

Weapons:

Fallout 3 could really sue a weapons pack. frankly i think in a game as vast as fallout & oblivion(still hoping they do a new one) i think ANYTHING should be a weapon & creating one should be simple.
Consider the following.

You walk into a seemingly abandoned house just outside a craptastic wasteland & dang nabit your fresh outta the vault when suddenly some angry cannibal or random raider is pissed off cos he's sick & tired of mole rat, mole rat, mole rat every day. thankfullly your plump & ripe vault dwelling hiney just walked in. you need a weapon & you see A RAKE leaning against the wall... STOP. now in "reality" youd grab the rake, or a chair, or a rock or his head & smash smash smash. but bethesda wont let you do that. you gotta duke it out with this scum bag or find a knife in the kitchen. wouldnt it make sense to grab the rake & pumble te crap outta him? id think so. CONTINUE so you cant use the rake & the kitchen is past the raider & the door is alarmingly small & you know that if you run back outside this guys gonna follow you cos he's hungry. hey look! a pencil on the floor to the left of your foot grab it! stab him in the eye! STOP cant do that either... sh*t fine... umm... CONTINUE okay no big deal i mean he only has a lead pipe & you took defensive fighting while in the vault why not get into some cqb style techniques & disarm him STOP the combat engine only allows you to flail your fists randomly without any sort of aim or strength while in vats & outside of vats you swing epic haymakers that will rarely land because for some reason you charge forward as if you have your shield in hand & a sword in the other like this is some end of the world magic using medevil world starting with a T & ending in "amriel" AH [censored] the raider killed you... load from your save point...

The point to that rant was basically my way of saying HELLO!!!!! wtf were you thinking when you made the only possible way to CREATE a weapon @ some stupid bench. did TAPE not survive the apocalypse? why not grab a broom tape some metal to it & call it a pike?

Why didnt the bow survive the apocalypse either? its probably one of the most simplistic weapons ever made & you cut it out? why, worried people would think its too much like elderscrolls? (was that a bad thing? you made how much money of that?) why arent there any machetes? its metal... grab anything metal from a demolished building & wrap some tape around it(tape didnt make it remember) right... okay wrap ... uh.... a leather belt around it.(there ya go) & how come auto shotguns & sawed offs survive & pump action shotguns dont(cos mad max said so) why is there only 1 type of semi automatic pistol & the rest are laser or revolvers....? (windows vista thats why!)

maybe its just me but id like to see some new weapons in fallout 3. so PLEASE make a weapons pack... id buy it... but include
Bows
Throwing weapons
garden & cleaning tools already in the game labelled as "junk"
machetes
new semi-automatic pistols (not revolvers) that look like real guns...
the ability to make junk items into weapons... without that stupid workbench.

Clothing:
Why did you decide the future only allowed outfits ... why cant i wear my merc top with lets say ... a duster & maybe some biker pants. or rings... or jewllery... why cant you mix & match stuff in that game? it woulda been so amazing... my pants give me +5 sneak & the top could give +10 lockpick or w/e ... i just didnt get it.

i think this is the last thing i wanna bring up... its been brought up before like i imagine most of this has. but bethesda ... seriously... can we talk for a second*sits down on the couch* its alright, dont worry im not mad @ you *pats the seat next to him* look. you guys make these large worlded, vast & open ended games that for single player have hours & hours & hours of game play but are often haulted by its incredibly repeatative crap. (run for a mile, kill bad thing, run for another mile, speech check, kill a**hole who didnt like your answer & was good before but now has issues, run for a mile) make a fallout game, or elder scolls or both... & then ... you do this new hip thing all the kool game companies are doing & you MAKE IT ONLINE ... sorry i raised my voice... but honestly... i would have SOOOOO much more fun if my & 3 of my buddies could runn around blowing crap up together in fallout. or even elderscrolls. give us a co-op ability or something. let us be able to run into eachother, kill one another. laugh @ the way your friends head blew off his body & rolled for like 50ft before coming to a stop in a bucket. let us box the crap out of super mutants knowing that its gonna take forever but that confused bastard is gonna spin in circles trying to figure out which of us to shoot. make an online game... please.

Oh ya & you should be able to wear diff boots, gloves ect. & also ... if it was a nuclear war... why isnt the world thrown into a nucular winter? ,,, wheres the snow & sub-zero temps? ... just a thought ... cos that would make things interesting if you could freeze to death or if the ozone was gone & just being in the sun caused rads to go up or blurred vision or something... anywho... its 6 AM ! It's also been confirmed that New Vegas is single player and I hope all future Fallout and Elder Scrolls games stay that way.

But fallout 3 took place 200 years after the big bomb drop.

And yes why can't we use rakes and pencils to poke people in the eye with, VATS didn't even have the ability to target the eye. OP is right maybe with a low repair skill you should have the ability to create basic melee weapons out of metal then when the skill is higher then you could create guns, my 2 cents on that issue. Now I'm 2 cents broker great.

But there arent any rakes in FO3 I get what your saying AND I have hard time believing your 23, which is irrelevant. basically anything over a certain weight should be usable as a makeshift weapon, paste some things together boom. I can now leave the closet I locked myself in because I was randomly assualted by a troop of mole rats and lost all my ammo.
