Where do I find Daedra's?

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 7:29 pm

I want to use dead thrall on one of them, 'cause they are the most powerful, right?

So where can I find some bodies or ones alive without having to do the quest for Mehrunes' Razor?

Or does anyone have an idea of a better person to use the skill on?

Thanks

I believe that deadra are under those classifications that you cannot dead thrall (giants among others also follow this classification).
Also they are def NOT the strongest. Named NPCs (especially quest boss related npcs) make MUCH better dead thralls.

Dead Thralls I personally use are Savos Aren (the Archmage. At higher lvls he has 100 destruction, 100 alteration, 100 conjuration and summons freaking dremora lords)
Orchendor: 100% resists for ice, fire, and lightening and also has an amazing heal/teleport spell.

Also if you are looking for dremora lords to be summoned I recommend a different approach.
Some named NPCs (Like Savos Aren) actually summon dremora lords personally.
You can also equip dead thralls with the sanguine rose so they TOO summon dremora.
If you have a companion that can summon as well he/she will summon atronachs.
+ you can get Barbas the invincible dog-tank to be your tanker.

Savos already died and I got the arch mage's robe, so do you know if I can still find his corpse anywhere?

Actually it depends on how you approach the quest. Savos has this strange quest trigger that forces his body to disappear after certain quest objectives are accomplished (it isn't just the college of winterhold some quests in the Dark brotherhood also causes his body to disappear. Extremely annoying)

Fortunately this was during my 2nd run through of the game and I REALLY wanted this guy as a dead thrall. So I got 100 conjuration before i even touched the college of winterhold questline. When Savos died I dead thralled his body immediately and never touched the quest line again :X.

Though for my other play through I just console commanded him next to me, killed him, and dead thralled him because I felt it was very unfair that i am not allowed to use his zombie body. I don't normally use console commands in this game because i feel like they are cheating but this time I honestly felt its unfair that I can't use him.

Edit: Sorry if you already got the archmage robes that means you passed the point where the quest triggers the disappearance.
Only way to get it from that point is to console command him back into the game and kill him.

Double warning: If your character is actually too high a level Savos levels with him and then becomes too powerful to be dead thralled. The only way to get Savos as a dead thrall is to dead thrall him FIRST as lower lvls and as you level up disable/enable him to level him with you. As far as I know there are no console commands to work past this.
