It seem killing Fandal (the archer trainer in Riverwood) and stealing all of his stuff is causing a bit of a problem. It gave my a bounty of 25. On my way out of town, I killed two hired thugs and a bit later killed two Redguard who were giving a woman a hard time. I continued on my way to White Run and the first guard I run into attacks me on sight.

Can I get rid of the bounty or should I consider starting over. The character is only level 2.

If I can get rid of the bounty, how would I do so?

Usually putting your weapon away as a sign of surrender opens up a dialogue with a guard. but honestly man, murder comes out to be like 1000+ gold. You can either pay up or go to jail. If sheathing your weapon doesn't work for some reason, then you're up [censored]'s creek mate and might want to consider restarting

Thanks. Pretty much what I figured. I didn't have my weapons out when the guard started shooting as soon as he saw me.

you can also try battling with them for a few hits, then sheathe the weapon. I've had to do that on a couple occassions

LOL, that worked. My bounty was 65 gold and I was dropped off at Dragon's Reach
