How can i leave the thieves guild? : V

i accidentally joined the theives guild and i know you can join as many factions as you want apart from the storm cloaks and empire but i dislike having their quests in my journal is there any way that i can leave? i have been banned but it just gives me a quest to go rejoin them? please help

Nope. best thing to do is do all their quests, then u wont have it

You could get banned three times, that's how it was done in Oblivion.

I'm pretty sure you can't leave em. Just as you can't leave any other faction.
At least with the Dark Brotherhood you could just slaughter them right off the bat, which is what i did.
But even that approach won't work with the thieves guild.
For some unknown reason somebody decided to make them immortal.
