Been screwing around with the game for the past couple of days just starting and restarting characters to check out the leveling system in terms to the skills and ive noticed that theres something a bit off. Big thing that ive noticed is that the Oghma Infinitum doesnt grant 3 levels but only 1 level even though that it raises 6 skills by 5 points each for a total of 30 skill points which by rights should be 3 levels. This is before lvl 60 by the way. Another thing i noticed which i did to day was i cheated myself 500 iron ingots and 500 leather strips and using a female nord who at level 3, making 469 daggers (warrior stone bonus only) took me to smithing 100 and one skill up from lvl 18, so it gave me 15 levels. Heres where ill turn a few heads, on an earlier character who was lvl 22 i made 116 iron daggers to get smithing from 17 to 57 but it only gave me 3 levels to put me at lvl 25. I feel like theres some diminishing returns at play with how many skill up are needed to lvl up and that some skill ups dont get counted.
leveling slows down throughout... it's not a solid 10 skill increases for 1 level... at first... I think you need like 4 to get to level 2... once you hit level 10 it starts going into the 10's... 20 it's around 15... 30 it's around 20... 40 it's around 25... 50 it's like 30... then it gets rediculous after level 60... Oghma Infinium at level 60 only gives you half the way up...
i knew something was up, i just didnt expect the leveling drop to actually kick in until lvl 50 not lvl 15. i guess it their fail safe for DLC to expand the level cap all they have to do is change when the DR kicks in
