Copy this thread since i′m having the exact same issue:

My game runs fine in first person, response right away.

However, when I switch to 3rd person (which is the mode I'd like to explore the world in) the keyboard lags when my character takes off from standing still.
I hit "W" and it takes about 0.5-1 sec for the character to respond and start running.


May not sound like that big of a deal, but it's annoying as fudge.

Tried googling it but found nothing.


It doesn't add up that something should interfere with the keyboard as it's only when starting off from standing still, if something was bugging the keyboard it should bug it constantly.

So what I'm mostly wondering is if this is a known bug? Is there any known fix? (Like a .ini-fix or something)

As far as I know that's how it's supposed to be, it's been like that since the game came out.
I'm guessing they did it to make the movements appear more fluid, as opposed to 1st person where you don't see yourself so movements are instant.
If you've got a gamepad, using an anolog stick makes this less noticeable.
