Anyone else's launcher setting the wrong graphic settings?

When I auto detect the launcher, it chooses high. However last week it chose ultra, as it should do with my GTX 560Ti. Anyone else having issues with the launcher since the 1.4/CK update?

I've never seen the launcher choose Ultra and my hardware exceeds the recommended hardware in every category. It always chooses High. High is the highest level that is supported on recommended hardware, and they mentioned that Ultra was for enthusiast-level systems. Knowing this, I don't thing the launcher would ever set it to Ultra. Are you positive that it set it to Ultra when 1.4.21 came out? That wasn't my experience, and I have GTX 580.

It used to set everything to Ultra when I had a 560Ti, but when I upgraded to the 580 the launcher defaulted everything to high.....go figure.

Very strange. Perhaps it was choosing Ultra on a specific version of the launcher, then reverted to original behavior of maxing out at High. There's little difference between the two though, so I have no problem seeing why it would set it for a 560. I've had my ini files set to read-only for a while and I always launch via skse_loader.exe, so if a specific version did this, I could have easily missed it.

I had this happen when I installed the 1.3.7 patch and deleted the skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini to make it re-detect. It set my settings to Ultra when every other time I've used autodetect it sets to High. I made it re-detect and it correctly set my settings to high. Not sure why it did this, but it seemed to be a one time glitch.

It's always chosen Ultra before. Since the CK/High Res Texture Pack however it's trying to set it at high. I play at Ultra anyway and it's always been the recommended setting for my card. Wonder if the setting got broken with the SteamWorks Launcher update?

Automatic Game Settings never works, on any game. When there are multiple things to set anyway. All they are is a starting point that you can tweak from once you know how the game runs. It's not like your stuck with the settings it chooses. Oblivion has set my game to Medium for I don't know how many years, but that is because it does not recognize my video card. Even on a newly released game, unless they list each and every video card/firmware combo, the Launcher is not going to get it right.

Also, I can see them making a change so the game chooses High instead of Ultra more times since they knew the Hi Res Textures were coming out. But, I don't know if they did it.
