Is there ANY way to reduce stuttering in this game?

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 12:43 pm

When I say stuttering, I don't mean microstuttering. That issue is resolved with an FPS limiter. I'm talking about movement/camera stuttering.

No adjustment I make in settings actually helps the issue, it seems. It just regularly stutters while moving even though frame rate stays steady. I've got an AMD 6670. Are there any tweaks/mods out there that can actually help this issue??

Full hardware specs? It sounds like you might have a bottle neck somewhere. I'm guessing either not enough RAM or outdated CPU. How much VRAM do you have? What are your temperatures like on CPU and GPU? It can be any or all of these things or something completely different.

OR.. your running either Nvidia SLI or ATI Crossfire which is likely your problem in that case...

Here is my setup:

Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.66GHz
AMD 6670 1 GB
4GB RAM
7200 RPM hard drive
Win 7 x64

Anything wrong with that setup do you think??

Single card setup.

I think it's the low clock speed of your CPU, and your 6670 mate.

How often do you defrag?

You should alter settings and see if it smooths out, things that effect draw distance.

I run a C2Q at 2 GHz and don't have any stuttering and I have never defragged, personally. I'm just mentioning that since there may be something else at play here.
