I am hunted by the DB for some reason I can't understand. I'd like to try the DB quest but I don't know how to trigger it. I saw a hint about a joker and a broken wagon north of Whiterun. I'd previously encountered this guy, talked to him and got the farmer to fix his wagon. That didn't seem to trigger the DB to invite me in.

Search for Aventius Arentino (sp?) in Windhelm. His house is located on (It's a Gate-Like Wooden Structure) the Grey Quarters.

Ask the bartenders in the Inn, they will tell how to start DB quest line.They will give you other tips on quests also.
