I would think you could. It seems to work just like any other mod. Should be able to just transfer by LAN or removeable media device. Don't take my word for it though :)

yup..

download..

navigate to the steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/data and copy the 4 HDtexture files to anything able to hold just over 3gb of data.... go to desktop.. transfer them over to the same location....... load steam.... wait for it to confirm and play on

So I need to actually install Skyrim on my laptop for Steam to even let me just download the file?

unfortunately yes.... although there is a possibility it may download the dlc during at which point you may be able to pause the download/install if the hd packages have finished before the rest of the game... but i doubt it.

Alright, but here's an issue. I attempted the download on my desktop, but wasn't able to get past 500MB. Can I cancel it?

I'm kind of a Steam noob.

I was in the same boat. Had to delete a bunch of stuff on my laptop. Had to download about 8GB. Finally got the texture pack, although there was no indication that it had downloaded them, I found them in the folder. Game won't run on my craptop, of course. NOt that I had planned to, but it made it seem like I had to play the game before it would install them. :/

Steam: Do not want
