I just recently got the Ghostblade (its a holographic non-physical sword) and want to enhance it. My smithing is at 100 but I've only been able to enhance the blade from 16 to 34. I have more than enough ectoplasm to enhance the blade, but it says I lack the required skill to enhance, yet I'm 100 smithing.

Has anyone managed to smith it beyond 34 damage?

thats weird my ghostblade i got up to 50 marked as flawless cant get it higher then this
i got one handed perks though

Where do you get this weapon?

Special items have odd set points for how much you can enhance them. Even with Alchemy/Enchant/Smith it ends up pretty crappy. If you really wanted to use it you might use the restoration glitch to make a smithing potion of 200% or something and that MIGHT make it at least usable.

Btw, my One-handed ability is at like 93. Maybe if I get it to 100, the blade will do more damage.

On a side note, I can't smith any of my weapons. They're all either flawless or epic, and one is legendary. Maybe I have to get the perk for advanced smithing? I think it applies only to armor though?
