Glowing Eyes BUG!

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 4:05 pm

This actually looks pretty awesome, how exactly would one acquire glowing eyes?

To fix it

press ~ to open console

type

sixchange
press enter

then type sixchange
press enter again to turn back into your original six

toggling sixchange back and forth back to original will force the avatar to redraw and eliminate character bugs

This only works if you play in third person mode and don't change the view mode after. If you play in first person mode it doesn't work at all. It's not a solution or a fix, sadly.

Someone out there must know how to permanently fix this! Even the 1.2 patch did bugger all. *sigh*

Sorry for any potential spoilers, but I don't know how to put a spoiler alert x_x Anyways, there is a solid fix for this.

I can personally confirm that doing Alduins Bane, the last quest of ACT 2 ( of 3) Of the main quest fixes this issue permanently.
To fix this, you have to read an elder scroll at the time wound ( Throat of the world). Doing so will get rid of the glowing eyes forever.

I kind of miss it now... *Sniff* I mean, it had it's moments. Especially with the Nightingale set. But after having this for two weeks, it won't be sorely missed ;D.

And now Bethesda is going to read this and next thing you know thy'll say it's not a bug but a feature ._.

But personally I haven't got it (thank God) on any of my four characters so far (but then I played each of them only 20 hours or so so maybe that bug is related to playtime? Like the slow animations bug in Oblivion?)

And btw magical powers making eyes glow? Come on Bethesda I never thought you'd do something so cheesy...

I have a glitch with my eyes someone says is from invisibility. I used a potion. All my prior saves have the glitch now.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/evilknick/1212121.jpg

I got this same glitch after using the Shrouded Cowl for an hour or so at a time. The eyes would correct themselves after I'd log off and back on, but still. Milady had some serious creepiness going on there with that. I haven't used the DB cowls in a while, so I haven't replicated it recently.

guys, i found the final fix for this and IT WORKS!!! :celebration:

- In third person, open the console and enter "player.addspell 000f71d1"

- Close the console and notice a slight darkening around your character

- Open the console again and enter "player.removespell 000f71d1"

- Close the console and your eyes should stop glowing.

Interesting! What spell is that? (I'll test it when I play Skyrim later...)

I wonder if it comes back after I use Aura Whisper again though? I use it all the time...

Confirmed here too,worked !!
I could kiss you right now Innieconinne

The spell says its "Draugr abilities" for those wondering, and no,i didnt saw any new abilities on my spell book after adding it and before removing it.

Really think this topic should have its title modified or a new one made so people affected by this bug can find it easily :D

I fail at following directions, upon a second try it worked. I tried removing the spell without adding it in the first place.

I just encountered this bug for the first time, knew there was a fix, found this thread and resolved it. But it made me think, I didn't see this fix on the change log for 1.4 (nor a fix for the nirnroot glow bug). Bethesda, WTH are you guys doing? Weeks of waiting for a patch and there's not even a fix for this confirmed, repeatable, quite old and well-known bug?

Your company is getting so inept it's not even funny.

thank you for this partial fix!

This is the problem I'm having, with no complete fix:
http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1334235-constant-curse-bug/

Thankfully I now don't have any glowing eyeballs, but I still suffer from the blue dust getting in my way, along with the weird glowing blue eyes at my feet :(

No ID code found yet that fixes this all together. Is there any list of codes that I can go through?

cheers!
