First, at least thanks for looking...

ok so im having a bit of a weird issue with skyrim. When i first played it i put in about 100 hours over a few months. Due to work and travel i hadnt played for about a month. When i next started up the game is when the problems started. My load screen times when from maybe 1-2 seconds to around 5 minutes. When the game actually starts, it runs fine except with a very small graphical "hitch" every 5-10 seconds. This seems trivial but in reality it is completely maddening and causes me to get killed constantly.

It ran on ultra settings previously, as do all other games i own.

specs:
i7 2600k
8gb ram
gtx 570

The only thing i can remember changing in my month off from playing is updating origin. I might add that bf3 runs consistently well on ultra.

Also, it hasnt udated to patch 1.4 yet..I dont know, im grasping at straws here. Ive searched everywhere and cant seem to find a similar problem.

May be the garbage collection issue. Try 1.4, but backup your Skyrim folder first if you want the option to roll back. Option to rollback is entirely up to you, I just mention it since you say you haven't updated yet.

In typing out that post i remembered one more small change that I had made before getting skyrim. I had set antialiasing forced to high on the nvidia card settings. It was set like this while playing skyrim the first time, but i just reset all options to default and it now runs at blazing speed. Thanks for helping remind me haha
