You could always reinstall Skyrim if all else fails.

What's that?

Go to Library, right-click Skyrim and click properties. Under Local files it says Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Click it.

Were you in the beta program? If so, you won't be updated because the last beta was the same as the released version.
