Having a nightmare atm, almost every time I exit a building / go inside one / fast travel - the game freezes on the loading screen. My main character's save file is almost 16mb. Tried with a character with just over an hour of playing and a save file of 3.1mb - works nicely.

Wat do?

I also removed all recently added mods and tried separetly without the highres texture pack, same issue.

i'll add the pc specs anyway:

I have the same problem and it happens constantly with me, but my savefile is only around 8 mb. I made a topic about it a while ago, but never found a solution. I'm guessing my savefile is corrupted or something, and have come to terms with the fact that it's most likely lost. (Incredibly boring, but what can you do) Starting a new game works fine, which I'll probably do sometime in the future.. But your problem might be a different one, so maybe someone can help.

If it would be corrupted, i presume you couldn't load it at all. Now i can load it just fine but I'm stuck inside a house in Riften.

Well, it isn't a player house but I'm going to try and leave it there. Or if an earlier save works better I'm going for the player house.

Well, tried different saves and I couldn't even load two previous from the one with the loading screen problem. Third save worked and now I'm back on track. Lost almost two hours because of this, but apparently the filesize isn't the real issue.

But whatever it is, i hope it gets fixed soon.

Seems like i found the problem. Again in Riften, this time I got stuck in the thieves guild base. Got a bit suspicious towards the open cities mod, since the problem existed only in riften. Previous time iI only disabled it, now I deleted it and all saves work - at least for now.
