I absolutely love it as well. All these comparison screenshots showing textures from afar and then complaining that the patch doesn't do anything are missing the point. Most of the textuers in the game were already high resolution textures (well for an open world game anyway). The HD patch merely ups the resolution of the stuff that really needed it like weapons, armor, wood, bricks & anything in a dungeon.

I loved it also. Just wish I could play with it on for more than 30 seconds before CtD. :(

Yes, the HD DLC is excellent!!!! I am running with <1Gig VRAM, but I found that if I disable HighResTexturePack02.esp I can run Skyrim on High with no issues, while still enjoying nice armor and weapons.

Yes exactly! And it keeps the original artistic style of Skyrim as well. HD retextures were certainly welcome and appreciated over low-res but I'm very happy with the "vanilla" high-res version of Skyrim at this point. The new HD textures can be appreciated even in the least expected times, like walking into the Used Goods store in Windhelm and seeing all those high-res bottles and potions on his shelves. Huge difference vs. the eye-sore low res versions.

That's a very good idea, Out of interest what is in Pack 2?

From your post i gathered that pack 2 is landscape etc & pack 1 is weapons & armour, If that's the case i'm going to get to it right now.

Pack1 is Actors (all monsters and characters), Armors, Clothes, Effects, Weapons

Pack2 is Architechture, Clutter, Dungeons, furniture, landscape, plants, terrain, etc

I wish I could run with both, but Pack1 by itself still makes the game a much better experience.
