Bought game on Steam - Where's the manual?

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 10:00 pm

There's no game manual for Skyrim available on Steam or this website... why?

Edit:
If I'm wrong please reply to this thread WITH a link to the download or instructions on how to get it from Steam.

I have been looking too. I kind of remember the manual not showing up for a few days, or maybe a week, after the game launch. I think we will eventually see it.

I have a similar problem. I bought a physical copy of the game in Korea. The manual is in Korean and I have been looking through the official sites to try and find an English manual, but without success.

I'm not at my pc to check, but usually with steam games when you select the game in your library, on the right you'll see a big list of links like Support, Forums, CD Key etc.

Manual is one of those links.

If you use grid view for your library, you have to hover your mouse over the game, and select View Details.

Edit: You could also right click skyrim in your steam library, and one of the options should also say Manual.

there's no manual, even softcopy. anyway, the game does have tutorial when you 1st play it.

the only feature not included in the tutorial, is the hot-key
you can assign number key 1 to 8, at the favourite menu, to assign them onto an item/equipment, so you can switch to them quickly during gameplay, like switch weapon.
though it's quite limited in feature, like you can't fix the hotkey onto right hand, somehow it's always apply the weapon changes on left hand 1st.

you can get mods that extend this feature.

Well, there is the built in manual on the main menu. Plus the PDF manual from the links in your game library. How many manuals do you need?

If there isn't a link in your library, maybe it's a language thing!

Try http://cdn.steampowered.com/Manuals/72850/skyrim_gfw_manual-07.pdf?t=1321046245&l=english&cc=IE&os=windows, I can see it on my Steam Library page for Skyrim:
