Cannot Remove Werewolf

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 6:41 pm

I have completed the Companion's quest line, and chose not to remove Lycanthropy (Werewolf) at the time of completing the quest chain. I have since went back to the Ysgramor's Tomb and attempted to activate the blue flame, with one of the witches head's still in my inventory. Upon using the pedestal, I am not prompted with the option to remove the curse. Nothing happens.

Platform: Windows 7

The only change I've made to my game is I did recently format/reinstall my OS because I built a new PC. I imported my saves from a backup. Not having issues with anything else however.

Any thoughts?

Did you get the radiant quest Purity? Where you help one of the others cure themselves? That's when I cured myself.

I'm having a similar issue, except no one is offering me the 'Purity' quest at all. I;ve done a lot of quests for both Vilkas and Aela (always gives an "Animal Extermination" quest) but still havent received the option of curing my lycanthropy. I'm also getting no quest offers from Farkas at all. Is that normal?

No I haven't gotten any other quests to purify them other than the main Champions quest. Ill search around tomorrow and post back what I find.

I still don't understand why I'd have to have one of their quests in order to cure my own though.

This is my problem also - do lots of random quests for the 3 Companions, have the Witches heads (4 of them) in inventory - nobody wants to get cured I guess

very buggy game

played game again, this time 1 guy wanted cured of werewolf, so we went to the tomb and cured him, but I can't cure myself.
