I was finishing the quest to transcribing the Lexicon and I came across Blackreath, can I just say WOW!!!!! I have seen very impressive scenery, especially the clear night sky, but Blackreath just blew me away. The floating Jellyfish were cool and the fortress was fun to explore, although it was so big I eventually got tired of sneaking around and offing the Falmer and their flunkies but they had a lot of gold so that was good. I eventually finished that part of the quest and now am looking around for Elves to kill and take their blood. This is my first Elder Scrolls game and I am loving it.

P.S. has anyone fully explored the Silent City Catacombs? I was wondering if there anything down there worth going back for eventually.

Yes blackreach is amazing and mainly the best thing down in blackreach is the other then that it's just random loot and a lot of awesome old dwemer stuff hell you can live down in it if you want.

I found that and added it to the ever growing list of quests I have to complete. seems like for every quest I complete, three more have been picked up along the way.

What is in the catacombs down there?

From what I explored there were plenty of Falmer to kill and hence lots of loot, but Mr Courier said that there is also a lot of Dwmer stuff down there. I had gotten quite a bit before I explored the catacombs so I will check back later. The Falmer are fun to take out at long range with hidden damage taking them out with one shot.

It seems so odd to have such a large vibrant area down there without special quests, items...

I'm currently on this quest and I agree it's amazing, 65 hrs in and still can't stop playin
