Ebony axe looks the best IMO, followed by Orcish then Glass.

Ebony axe is sweet, but I do like all the ebony stuff. I was using an axe as my back up with my nord nightblade. Until I got the nightingale blade and I've pretty much have used swords since. I really haven't run into a unique axe though, I'll probably use one when I find one

have to disagree with you there, look at the deadric sword looks pretty wicked.

the lower tier stuff looks much better and actually useful than the high end stuff. the ebony axe is one of the exceptions though. the daedric stuff has to many jaggy edges that could get caught on yours or your opponents armor and they look really silly. i try and use the skyforge stuff for as long as possible and it actually does work till end game although you will notice a difference if you switch to ebony or daedric, its still viable though. alot of the higher end armors look like something out of a japanese anime. they just look silly.

I was an axe guy in oblivion, but I'm pretty torn this time around. Each have their own cool executions and asthetic appeals to them.

I particularly like the way orcish weapons look.

Meh, I don't like any of the Daedric items.

I've always preferred swords, but when it comes to two-handed weapons, I like the Battleaxes.

Axes generally do more damage.

I just use Wuuthrad. No sword comes even close to that weapon.

I think war axes look badass (Ebony for sure), but I have to go with swords because of the cooler finishing moves.

I hate how all the Daedric items look.
