Sliced Shadows - How to fix?

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 1:37 am

Hello guys

I need some help with shadow tweaking

Well what I want it's simple(or not lol)

I Just want to get rid of these sliced shadows,I do not want them sharper,anything like that.

I Just do not want them to be like this.

I'm running with them on Low to get constant 60fps.Although my Skyrim Launcher automatically sets it to High,and yeah,it fixes it,but I don't get 60fps at cities with High Shadows.

So is there any tweak that I can do to fix this?

Dunno I have the interior shadows like that the fix helps but nothing in the exterior like that. Is that effect periodic? or constant? because if its periodic its the sun shadow update....and the effect is known as shadow acne. There are a few fixes but they update the sun shadow incrementally which imo is better than the flicker stripe but to each his own. If so hit me back or youtube shadow flicker or shadow acne.

Open SkyrimPrefs.ini, look for fShadowBiasScale and set that to 1.5.

fShadowBiasScale=1.5
