Son of a Bee

I don't know if anyone is going to be able to help me on this...

I had a companion for a good 100+ hours and now he has gone missing. I know he is gone because I talked to some chick and now she is running with me (I only asked her to join me because I wanted to see if she said "sorry, come back when you are alone." The dude I had before would disappear every now and again so I didn't pay any mind to it at first....but now I know he is gone.

The problem is I don't remember the guys name, where I met him or anything that will help me track him down. And the dude was wearing my nightingale armor so I couldn't even tell you what he looks like...

What I know about him:

He is always (sighing).
He doesn't use magic at all.
He is human.

Please help, he has a billion dollars worth of stuff on him.

What's the dollar-to-gold coin conversion rate these days? I don't think Skyrim merchants accept dollars. ;)

LMAO, the dude probably got mauled by a sabertooth and is laying ass up in a snowberry bush somewhere. There's no way to find him if thats the case. Either that or...he took an arrow to the knee...if you got the pc version though you may be in luck cuz i think there is a console command to ressurect a dead companion even if they are not in the immediate vicinity. idk what the command is but i would just google "skyrim resurrect console command" If you got xbox or ps3 then you are SOL

Could it be Sven from Riverwood? He doesn't sigh a lot as my companion, but he coughs all the damn time, I think he might have tuberculosis.

In general, when they wander off, they wind up where you first found them.
But there are a lot of options. if you paid money for him to follow you, then you can check the inns.
If you didnt, you can look at your quest log, as you must have done something nice for him at some point for him to follow you.

Do you remember where you last were together?

If you were together in a dungeon and you left alone it is possible he may be laying dead in there to a trap or something.

Apart from that, the complete lack of information that you are able to supply makes it hard for people to help you.

Do you own a house, if so I believe companions you are not using (and are still alive) teleport themselves home. At least my house if full of unused companions and I didn't lead any there.

And on the topic of the stuff he was carrying, it is always a good idea to keep the top quality gear on your person (as it is harder to lose that), and store vendor trash on your companion.

Holy F! That is the dude!

I killed the chick with me and this dude rolls up and says " Are you ready to go?" I was like....I guess. As soon as he joined me he changed his armor to Nightingale!!! I was like WTF this dude is like Batman!!!

Now I am checking his inventory to make sure he didn't sell any of my Shiz.

As sarcastic and annoying as you sounded towards the beginning, when people were trying to help you, it ended pretty well. You can't lose with a Batman reference.
