As a fan of both games, I have to say that Zelda is simply a better game overall. I haven't been able to look at Skyrim the same way ever since completing Skyward Sword. It seems so dull and uninspired... Especially the stories and quests. And the characters are no more remarkable than anyone in my neighborhood--quite the opposite, actually. I still like Skyrim, don't get me wrong. Just not half as much as I did a week or two ago.

That said, this poll? Useless in the extreme. Name one positive thing it will accomplish.

Its just a user poll from one site. Skyrim has a higher average review, infact Skyrim has the highest average review score for any game this year.

Second.... Zelda a better game? So, let me state this clear, Im not undervalorating Zelda but... Really ? So you say a game where you can move Freely for the world, steal, decapitate people, fight everyone you want, explore dungeons, explore watherver place you see in the horizon, burn an oponent, etc... its WORST than a cartoonish game where a green goblin is called by a princess to rescue her (how original) and must "kill" colorfull boxes that escaped from disney channel manicomy ?

I play Skyrim modded with NO lag and with no CTD ... so... the problem seems to be YOURS. But yes, you can also go to play Super Mario Bros....

You don't have to play a game to have knowledge of it. You have to play a game to have complete knowledge of it, but not knowledge in general.

In all seriousness people i think some of us who wish to teach bethesda a lesson need to change there vote to Skyrim. I know you want to teach bethesda a lesson about releasing a faulty product but think about it losing to a game like skyward sword may seriously damage morale badly over at bethesda. Besides i think barely winning will send just as big of a message for them to get there act together. I ask you all to look past the bugs and glitches. Does a game like Skyrim really deserve to be the first elder scrolls to not receive game of the year?

Zelda = gameplay. You know, the most important part of a game?
Skyrim = A very aesthetically pleasing terrain exploration simulator with lots of standing around, listening to NPCs talk in the meantime.

One is a game, one is another form of entertainment that is barely what one could consider a game. That doesn't make it bad, it just doesn't make it all that fun to "play".

You'd think whoever created Zelda would have too, being a long running popular series.

(Never touched it, don't know anything about it, don't like cartoony games. Also feels too childish to me. I like mah gore.)
