Will the CPUgpu work even harder in windows mode than fullsc

The fullscreen mode = loads of stuttering in first person, so i heard that going to windows mode + simple borderless windows(mod) can solve it.
However, will windows mode in skyrim cause the system to work harder than fullscreen? I recalled getting lower FPS in other games in window mode than fullscreen. And since more work = more heat, my laptop might prolly go boom.

actually it should work less...

typically 3D fullscreenmode triggers a full dedicated power for the GPU maxing out.. but if it's not working.. the borderless window mode is an alternative.... if it triggers full 3d mode.. it'll work really no harder than in full screen... In the case of having Aero mode enabled.. it just slightly cuts in on the available gpu memory slightly...

So those that TL;DR, No it'll be no more load....

The reasons most machines work harder in Windowed mode is people are running other things with the game.

Some systems seem to like running the game in Windowed mode, most do not, even without background apps clouding the issue. There is no real rhyme or reason as to why one system runs better windowed than not. You can only try it and see what happens.

As for heat, your laptop should shut down before that becomes an issue. Also, laptop cooling pads are only about $20, money well spent when gaming.

Indeed. I lose about 20 frames if I run in windowed mode. However I've known many who've increased by near that amount, and reduced stuttering. It depends entirely on your system.

Laptops aren't really done for heavy work and tend to have a poor cooling system. I recommend standar computers for that stuff :P

Btw, is that a HP?

And windowed tends to improve the performance.
