Problem with lauching Skyrim

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 11:34 pm

Hi,

I've been playing Skyrim for 3 months now and it always worked perfectly,
Today I downloaded the high resolution texture pack, it worked fine but my loading screens were much longer so I removed it.
When I tried to play further, it first said something about that the save didnt have the same content or something like that and do you want to continue.
So I pressed "Yes" and my game frooze. I put off my computer and tried again but now it was saying "Save is corrupt and can't be loaded". So I copied my saves
and reinstalled Skyrim. And now everytime I try to launch it just keeps on saying " preparing to start the elder scrolls V; Skyrim" It just won't launch.

Can anybody help me with this?

While a no-details message such as what you just wrote might be just fine in a console game forum, this is a PC forum, and no one can make any kind of wild guess unless / until you cough up all of the omitted data required.

What do you mean with " comitted data "?
When I press the "play" button in my steam library, It won't do anything except telling "preparing to launch Skyrim"

Tim,
Once you uninstalled the game you lost files and data that is downloaded from Steam to your computer. On your window where you "push the play" on the left hand side it shows Skyrim the game does it show any % of download. Iam just wondering if the game is receiving data from Steam and you are trying to play it at the same time?
Let us know.
