Afterburner video capture questions

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 1:42 am

I am using the 2.2.0 beta fro afterburner and I have set all my hotkeys for screen capture, video capture and OSD and the only thing that works is the screen capture. Why is this? I have tried multiple different hotkeys and nothing works except for the screen capture. I'm trying to use these features in Skyrim.

All I want is to be able to see the fps in the lower corner and capture video when I want to. but I can get neither of these to work. I have read countless posts and still have not found a solution. I was clicking around and have discovered the "Rivatuner Statistics Server technology" what is that? do I need to do something with this to get this stuff to work? I have no idea how to use this part of the program and the "?" is greyed out, so I can't view the help files.

Can someone please give me some straight forward solutions to my problems?

I have tried the actual guru3d forums and I cannot get an answer, either they don't know, or they don't care.

I always use Afterburner...for screen shots and video...the stat server is required to have these working....

When you load afterburner you should get 2 icons in the tray....one is the Stats server...open that and make sure...

Show on-sreen display ..is ON
Application detection level = low
On- screen display support = on
On -screen rendering mode = Vector 3-D
On- screen coordinate space = Viewport

I did not ever do anything with the profiles in there ...

Try this out I dont have it load with windows but you can set that here...also can pick a color , i left mine at default cause Skyrim dont have much pink in it so you can read the text easy...lol

Hope this helps..

EDIT...ohh wait....also open Afterburner....3rd tab over is "Monitoring" you will see where it says..."Active hardware monitoring Graphs" click a checkmark and it will then Highlight, below that you will see "show in On screen display" check the Box.

Do that for everything you want to "see on the screen" you can also check the box below that IF you have a Logitech keyboard with a display...that also works great.

Yes, but it's pretty much the same algorithm as fraps and the same size files as well. I thought it was gonna be a more efficent recording program. But oh well.
