no longer able to edit .ini? : V

When I try to edit my .ini file I get this.

any ideas? Or can you simply not edit your .ini files anymore? O.o

This. That error box shouldn't even be there since you're editing nothing more than a text file. Either you are doing something wrong or something is messed up on your machine.

rightclick ini -> open with -> notepad

Yeah, something's wrong with your machine then. INI files are simple text files, so that wouldn't come up. Have you done anything with software changes to the main system lately?

Was your computer initially set up on any type of domain or shared network then moved?
