RainThunderstorms

The weather is way more varied than any game I've seen. I wondered the same about thunder storms until I ran into a nasty one on my way somewhere. Same with blizzards, I was in a real doozy, it was practically white-out. I seriously considered looking for shelter (I don't fast travel or wait if I can avoid it).

That said, I have only ever seen one serious blizzard and one serious thunder storm. It was actually really cool. once I arrived to my destination, I was in the keep and I could hear the thunder outside at times, fairly loudly if I hung out near a window or outside door.

I just spent the last two game sessions (about 4 hours) in a real gloomy overcast with a pinch of showers. Just enough to make the weather miserable. I rested at an abandoned camp site and awoke to a beautiful dawn with clear skies and birds chirping. My spirits were actually lifted, it was pretty cool.

This really isn't a complaint, just wondering if anyone else felt the same. I really miss the thunderstorms from Morrowind, they were so loud and just...well violent really. The first time I walked into Balmora it was storming like crazy, and when I ran into the inn to get out of the rain I still heard it faintly coming from outside. It was really immersive to me! At first I thought they literally forgot to add sound for the rain, until I turned my volume waaay up, it's so quiet. Yeah I could fiddle with the audio options and stuff so it's not even a big deal, but even graphically I kinda liked it over Skyrim's since you could see stores' signs flying all over the place because of the wind, banners doing the same, etc. Maybe I just havn't seen a real storm yet, and just small rains? I dunno. Anyway, just rambling.

I miss the Ash Storms. They were pretty convincing, and littlerly don't want to get caught traveling when one struck. Still trying to figure out why Cliff Racers could still fly with ease :glare: . Doesn't anything bring down their population?

Just to throw this in there, Morag Tong. Miss them to.

Morrowind definitely had the best thunderstorms. Skyrim has them, but they are very tame by comparison.
