Post » Wed May 30, 2012 1:54 pm

Hello. I haven't bought Skyrim yet because the computer I have now is quite old and won't run it straight. So next week i'm gonna get a new computer and I came just to confirm if I can handle Skyrim at max settings with these specs:

HardDrive: 1 TB SATA, 7200rpm
RAM: 6GB
Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GT530 - 2GB
Processor: Intel? Core? i5-2320 - 3,00GHz (Turbo 3,30GHz)
Audio System: HD Audio 8.1
Operting System: Windows 7 Home Premium - 64 Bits

So, can I? :)

CPU is fine but your graphics card is very weak.

You made a spelling mistake on only the fourth letter of the first word of your very first post ever!
Excellent. You'll fit in perfectly...

Are you sure it's a GT530?

here are the specs:

CUDA Cores : 96
Graphics Clock (MHz) : 700
Texture Fill Rate (billion/sec) : 11.2
Memory Clock : 898 MHz
Standard Memory Config : 1 GB or 2 GB DDR3
Memory Interface Width : 128-bit
Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec) : 28.8

If so then yes it's very weak and in bold is why.

Yes I am sure. I would show you if I could. I can't post links it seems. If this is not good, then what is? I can't waste too much money on a new computer, and this one is a bit expensive.

Is it a laptop? If so then don't bother, gaming laptops are expensive. To play Skyrim on max settings you need quite a powerful PC.

Depending on your budget I would recommend building your own pc. You definitely need a way better video card to play on max settings.

Then I see 2 options.

1. Buy for PS3 and save allot of money.
2. I need to go on a epic quest to find someone to build me a computer which is trustworthy enough to make me something powerfull lower then 800 euros that can last me a long time.

If all you're wanting to do with a pc is play this game, then I'd recommend just getting it for the PS3.

If you do decide to find someone to build you a pc, I can say that 800 euros over here (US) would build a fairly decent system. Not sure how it would be over there, though. Maybe some european lurkers could chime in.
