Does anyone know if containers like the chests and dressers that are in the room you are given at Winterhold College reset? Other words is it safe to store stuff in?

Goes for other questionably owned abodes such as Archmage Quarters etc...

I wouldn't trust any container unless it's the chest in your home.

Get a house, put stuff in the chest, no more questions required.

Mage's college works great. i also used the abandoned house, just make sure you complete the quest attached to the house. But yeah buy a house weapon racks and manniquinns are great for showing off your preist masks and unique gear/wpns

there are safe storage chests actually, you just have to find em, i have put an elven shield in the one in the secret room in riverwood in the inn, delphines room and she gives you the key, it has a alchemy and enchantment table, she even says its safe to put stuff in the chest, the elvin shield has been in there the entire game and i'm at level 40 almost, also the chests where the wizards are in the castles, once you do them some favors, you can sleep in their beds and use the storage, but i'll be testing all of em over time, so yes there are some storage chests but you need to check by putting something in it early in the game and if it never resets its prob totally safe.

what about that place in labyrinthian, when you put that wooden mask on? i've not tried um but i bet the chests there are safe. (as long as you keep the mask to get back)
