So there is a random encounter where a frightened woman comes up to you in the wilderness and tells you that she escaped from somewhere. After she marks a location on your map, you can tell her that there is a settlement nearby, in this case, it was Whiterun. She proceeds to run off in that direction. A lot of people have seen her killed or later found her body between the place they encounter her and the settlement she runs to, but I found her again in my game last night, a couple weeks after I first encountered her - working at Chillfurrow Farm! SHe just has canned dialogue, and at first I didn't even remember her, but I later figured it out. Anyone else have her turn up alive later on?

Not really. But she disappeared from the game. She's not in the place I leaved.

But I got a inheritance letter from a Ancient Vampire. That's really weird.

I had some random guy come upto me and told me to hold on to his warhammer, then ran off. Never seen him since, and i dunno what that was all about!

I have run into those guys a ton of times. They just stole something from a hunter. Usually they go hide behind a rock after giving it to you and then a hunter comes along soon and if you are still there will ask if you saw someone. He will then kill the thief if he sees him.

That's cool that she can actually make it somewhere safely. The first time I encountered her it was night time and she ran off after some dialogue. We were near Whiterun so I figured she would be okay but then I saw her get attacked and killed by wolves. I reloaded my save and tried again but that time she ran off and I couldn't see her anymore. I wasn't going to reload a second time so I left her to her own devices.

I know the strange guy you're talking about.

After he gives you the warhammer another guy is supposed to come up to you and ask if you've seen the guy that ran off. Turns out he stole it from that guy and it's your option whether or not to rat the guy out or keep the warhammer until he returns.

If that guy didn't come to you, then the thief won't come back because it wasn't triggered.

This happened to me while I was having a conversation in Darkwater Crossing, and the hunter that came looking for the fugative didn't have any clothes on and started shooting arrows at the guy.

That happened to me but I forgot the name and then when I checked the map there were no new markers anywhere near my location. She must have been fleeing for quite some time.

The thief didn't do a very good job of hiding in my game. The hunter came running up, I gave him back his hammer and used the dialog option telling him where the thief went. I turned around and thief is no more than 10 feet behind me cowering up against a rock in plain sight of the hunter, who killed him with about 2 arrows.

Criminals aren't the brightest in these games, are they?
