I was doing a little exploring, and I came upon a spot where Farkas, Athis, Torvar and a Bear are all just standing there. I killed the bear. The other three dipsticks are just standing there doing absolutely nothing. I have never seen any of these characters outside of Whiterun. What in the blazes are they doing standing here???

All of a sudden, I notice Onmund isn't with me. I go back down the road a bit and there he is just standing there like the other three stooges. What gives? Is this some sort of crazy location that causes people to stand around like trees?

I have half a mind to fast travel to Whiterun and ask those jokers what they were doing. If they are still there, that is.

OK, there is a lake nearby and a "captive" in nothing but her underwear draqed face down across a rock at the edge of the lake. All of her belongings are assembled very neatly in a line on the bank. Journal, hat, necklace, clothes, satchel, boots.

Apparently she came down a swim despite here fathers warnings. Fears of Forswarn overlooked in favor of a dip.

But what are the Companions doing there??!? Did they ambush her? Torvar I can see, even Athis... but surely not Farkas!!?

The spot: draw a line straight east of Bthardomz, and draw another line straight north of Shrine to Peryite. Where the lines cross, this is the spot.

Any one else experience this crazy tableau?

There is a chance to meet companions in the wild. It's a low chance, but it happens. Some people have reported Aela and Skjor. After 170 hours, I've only seen Athis.

I have 178 atm... Usually I fast travel, though. I may start doing a little more walking.

Seen them in Haafingar once or twice, most of them just out on a stroll, kinda wondered what the hell they were doing out there

I saw one of them on an iceberg in the very farthest northeast you can travel, he was in the yield position to a bear that was beating him badly. Helped the guy out and he said something like "What are you doing here", a question he should have asked himself.

I've seen them near Riften twice so far.

Even though skooma just gives you stamina now...

Ran into Aela once near Shor's Stone, fighting a bear. Very strange. She said she was going after some bandit guy, which was strange considering the bandit she was going after was in a cave on the other side of Whiterun.
