Will this be game breaking if I don't pay it off? I got it during the dark brotherhood quests, and I had to work a little magic to do the chef one. I killed all the guards coming after me, but not infront of the commander in charge of security. After desposing of the guards, I went and talked to him and proceeded inside to finish the quest of killing the emperor. I was just curious if theres other things that are going to be a problem later on, if I need to go back? Killing the guards isn't a problem. And my bounty is approaching 10,000 gold...so I don't really want to pay it or go to jail to lose some skill points.

It depends. I'm not sure about "needing to go back" part, as I did not do the Dark Brotherhood quests, but if you can't pay it, you can always go to jail and then break out. It's easy enough, and if you stay in there, you don't lost skill points per say, it just sets the points you are leveling to the beginning of that level. (For example, if I had lvl 18(almost 19) in Heavy Armor, it wouldn't go down to 17, just go to the start of 18 again.) Hope this helps!

lol thanks. I don't really want to lose the almost gained level though. Maybe i'll keep an eye on my progressions and once the main ones I am going after start at a fresh level, I can go pay the bounty. I'm also considering to keep the bounty going and see how high it gets lol
