Physical Spell Effects vs the World

Does anyone else think that the spells should have reacted more with each other and the environment? for example, i think when shooting lightning at water it should electrify the entire pool or using a frost and fire based spell together would result in the fire melting snow to create water then electrify it? how about a grease spell to lay down a track of grease with a fire rune in the center? things like that that I've only seen in dragon age and bio shock. i realize the AI is kinda thick but when they see a "wall of magic" spell on the ground they happily walk right in it to get me, if they make it. it would be more reasonable for them to find another way around, wait for it to go out, if there is a mage he could use a blizzard spell to extinguish it etc. its more reasonable to think "they wont see this grease until they gel close at with point the fire rune would activate cause burn damage over time" some may consider it copying another games mechanic but i saw if its is a genuine idea that this can improve the mechanic of the game its not copying. any thoughts?

Ideally I think it would be wonderful.

I dont really think the game suffers for it, but it certainly couldn't hurt the game. Unless the coding is just some kind of convoluted nightmare.

I will say the first time I lit oil on fire I fapped. More of that wouldn't hurt my feelings.

Personally I think a BioShock style combat system would rock for Elder Scrolls.

Yea I can tell that Skyrim was influenced by BioShock, even if it doesn't take it to that level.

BTW your avatar is like the greatest thing ever.

shouts too for that matter would have made more sense from a canceling out stand point. dragon uses fire shout, no problem, throw a blizzard shout at him to cancel it. death lord used a unrelenting force, no problem, throw one right back at him and create a shock wave in the middle of the room. little touches make a enjoyable game even more enjoyable. right now i have 4 shouts out of like 12 hot keyed, some of which i have 0 souls invested in.

It would be cool definitely but..

Unless the coding is just some kind of convoluted nightmare.

..I do believe it would be just that.

Also DA is a fairly closed of and linear world compared with Skyrim. I haven't played Bioshock but I guess it is the same there.
