Is there any reason Karliah is no where to be found and those "furnishings" she said she would put in Nightengale Hall doesn't seem to be there?

And another annoyance...where is the portal?

Karliah is probably in the Cistern. Just because. At least, that's where she stayed on my saved.

Also, does anyone know what the little mannequin between to the bookcases is for?

Karliah is back at the place where you originally found her with Mercer Frey. I forget the name of it currently. It's a bug, but that's where she is. She will be a the Cistern for your ceremony to become the Thieves Guild Master but that's it -- she never actually goes to Nightengale Hall after you return the Skeleton Key. It's just a bug. Soon to be fixed I hope.

The mannequin is for a quest related to the Unusual Gems. When you find them all the artifact they assemble into will be placed there, or so I'm told (haven't finished it myself yet).

in my game she is supposed to be at the Nightingale/Nocturnal Sanctuary, but instead is in Winterhold in the Inn, down in the cellar/basemant where you talked with her and that guy.

Does anyone remember the name of the location where we first met Karliah and Mercer?

I can't seem to find her anywhere so I thought I'd look there.

Kaliah is suppose to be at the Nightingale Temple. She says as such when you returned the Skeleton Key.

The little mannequin is for the Belizathe(sp) crown. The one you get all the Unusual Gem for.

I'm past that. Way past that. I want to change my Nightengale power. The only way to do that is by using the portal Karliah provides.

I'm aware of where she says she'll be. I'm also aware that she's not there. As the thread states. there's a bug with her and she doesn't go where she's supposed to go. That's why I'm looking for her.

Did you try looking where I mentioned? That's where she is in my game.

I have no portal in my game.

I thought I had, but I now see you said the inn in Winterhold. I was looking in Windhelm. I'll check there soon.

As an add-on, I went back to the Twilight Sepelchur and I couldn't find the portal. Same thing with Nightengale Hall. I never did find the portal, but somehow today my Nightengale power has indeed been changed to the one that absorbs 100 life. No idea how I did it, but it changed.

Nope, she's not there (at the Inn in Winterhold).

Apparently Karliah goes different places for different people after the thieves guild questline is over. For me she went to the basemant of the bar in Winterhold, but for some, she goes back to Snow Veil Sanctum where the cinematic occurred with Mercer Frey. Either way, she says she's supposed to go to Nightingale Hall, but she never does. Also, Nocturnal said something about a portal that would open up if her lair was being attacked or something...well, that never happens.

It seems to me like the thieves guild was very rushed by the developers and seems utterly incomplete.

Maybe she only reappears if the quest line is over (including the guild master).

I just now finished getting all the stuff to become guild master, and Karliah was at my ceremony, so maybe she's out and about in the world again now. I'll let you know if she turns up in one of the places I've looked before.

The portal replaces the old entrance. Just go back and you will see it's a portal to the inner sanctum now.
